InterGlobe Air Transport, the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Manta Air in India, organised a roadshow in partnership with Kandima Resort, RIU Hotels and Niyama Islands for the travel fraternity in Bengaluru on March 18, 2024. Attended by 60 agents, the event aimed to introduce the travel fraternity to the unparalleled offerings of Manta Air and highlight the benefits of flying with Manta Air to Dhaalu Airport in the Maldives.
Ahmed Maumoon, Deputy CEO, Manta Air; Nayan Srivastava, General Manager – Sales, InterGlobe Air Transport and representatives from the resorts were present at the roadshow.
The airline received positive feedback from the agents and hopes to capitalise on the upcoming summer holiday season. The airline is set to expand its target audience beyond leisure and honeymoon travellers to include inventive groups seeking unique travel experiences.
Currently, Manta Air operates three weekly flights between Dhaalu Airport and Bengaluru every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday
The airline is using ATR72-600 which is designed with a 29-inch seating pitch but to provide extra comfort to the passengers the aircraft has been redesigned with 64 seats having 16 luxurious sapphire class (premium economy) seats and 48 spacious comfort class (economy) seats with a seating pitch of 36inch and 32inch respectively.
Traditionally, travellers to resorts in Dhaalu faced the additional hassle and expense of arranging domestic or seaplane flights after landing at Male International Airport. With Manta Air’s direct flights to Dhaalu Airport, this cumbersome step is eliminated, allowing guests to arrive directly at the doorstep of their chosen resort. This also eliminates the long queues in the busy international hub at Male airport and saves 4-5 hours of journey time and allowing them more time in the resort to enjoy their holiday.
As the sole international flight serving Dhaalu Airport, Manta Air prioritises passenger convenience and comfort. Exclusive check-in, Immigration, and Customs processes are arranged for passengers traveling on this flight, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition from airport to aircraft and vice versa.
Passengers travelling in economy class enjoy a check-in baggage allowance of 20kg and 7 kg of hand baggage, while those in premium economy are entitled to 25kg of checked baggage and 7 kg of hand baggage.
Manta Air provides complimentary meals to all passengers during flights, offering sandwiches and refreshments.
