Skal International Mumbai 144 celebrated its pre-Diwali event on November 3, 2023, at Sofitel Mumbai BKC. The occasion was graced by a significant turnout, featuring members, their spouses, and esteemed trade guests. Sk. Burjis Mehta, President, Skal International Mumbai, proudly highlighted that the day was a moment of great pride for Skal 144, as their members had consistently received well-deserved recognition from Skal International.
The event coincided with the then ongoing Skål International World Congress 2023 and General Assembly in Málaga, Spain. At the Congress, Sk. Sunil VA and Sk. Partha Chatterjee was honoured with the prestigious title of Membre d’Honneur. Additionally, Sk. Carl Vaz, President, Skal International India, was awarded the Skal Order of Merit (2021) and was named Skallegue of the Year for 2022.
The guest of honour at the event was Shri Pandurang Taware, a distinguished recipient of numerous national and international awards. He shared insights on rural and agritourism, a field in which he serves as a consultant to the government. Lubaina Sheerazi, Founder, BRANDit, was felicitated by the Managing Committee for her valuable support to Skal International Mumbai 144.
The event concluded with a splendid networking cocktail dinner and the distribution of numerous giveaway prizes.
