Resorts World Cruises, which initially set sail from Kaohsiung in April 2023, is making a return with Resorts World One, once again choosing Keelung and Kaohsiung as its homeports from July 12 to August 27, 2024. This year’s deployment will introduce a series of special 2, 4, and 5-night cruises for the summer vacation, offering journeys to the picturesque islands of Kyushu and Okinawa in Japan. Destinations include Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Sasebo, and Nagasaki in Kyushu, as well as Naha, Miyakojima, and Ishigaki in Okinawa.

Riding high from last year’s successful deployment, Resorts World Cruises was at the forefront in rejuvenating the local cruise sector, as well as generating a high volume of inbound cruise tourists from Hong Kong, Macao, Southeast Asia and more. Last year’s deployment broke new records for the port of Kaohsiung with the highest number of cruises and passengers carried, totalling 138 cruises and over 199,000 passengers respectively. Additionally, it also injected over 60,000 inbound tourists into the Penghu destination. Overall Resorts World One’s deployment in 2023 generated a tourism output value of approximately NT$ 1.6 billion, contributing towards the overall tourism economy growth.

Due to the overwhelming public response and the ongoing support extended by the various local authorities, Resorts World Cruises will make a strong return this summer with not one, but two homeports in Keelung and Kaohsiung, which will enrich the selection of cruise offerings from both homeports, as well as further spur the growth of the cruise tourism industry.

“We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all relevant parties and the support given from the public towards Resorts World Cruises. We had created new milestones last year and together, we are confident to achieve greater heights this season. As a show of our appreciation, we are introducing a total of 14 amazing sailings this season from both the Keelung and Kaohsiung homeports to the Kyushu and Okinawa Islands in Japan,” said Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises. “With these new refreshing itineraries and convenient departure times from two key homeports, we are committed to delivering best-in-class services and entertainment with a variety of quality cuisines and offerings,” he added.

One of the major highlights and attractions of the Resorts World One is that it is the only cruise ship to homeport in Keelung and Kaohsiung with complimentary access to an onboard Chinese restaurant. Local travellers embarking from either homeport can enjoy delicious and authentic Chinese-style cuisine and further explore a wide variety of international buffets. Other speciality restaurants include Japanese cuisine, authentic Southeast Asian menus, Italian pizza and pasta, exquisite Western menu and more. Many locals will also be delighted to know that Resorts World One has the highest ratio of fluently Mandarin-speaking crew in the cruise industry with clear Mandarin signages for the convenience of its guests.

For the upcoming new season, Resorts World One will offer regular departures to enable travellers to plan their cruise vacation with ease. Travellers can hop on the 2 Night Japan Okinawa Cruises departing from Keelung on Fridays for that short weekend getaway holiday without the hassle or need to apply for annual leaves. These include the 2 Night Miyakojima Cruise (12 July and 09 August); 2 Night Ishigaki Cruise (19 July and 02 August) and 2 Night Naha Cruise (26 July and 16 August).
