Jettwings Airways, today announced that it has received the NOC to operate Scheduled Commuter Air Transport Services. The airline plans to offer regional connectivity to passengers under the UDAN Scheme to a number of destinations in the Northeast and eastern region initially.
Jettwings Airways has been established with a vision to revolutionise regional connectivity by delivering superior service, comfort and convenience to passengers. Post all regulatory approvals and AOC from the DGCA, the airline, with its base in Guwahati, plans to introduce a fleet of modern flight deck turbo fan aircraft in addition to turbo-propelled ones for regional connectivity with premium economy services to its passengers.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjive Narain, Chairman, Jettwings Airways said, “The Government’s unwavering commitment and efforts to improve air connectivity through RCS by connecting regional airports has significantly improved trade for particular regions while fostering economic growth and has given huge fillip to the development of the tourism sector. We believe that under the UDAN Scheme, we have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the Northeast region by improving connectivity and creating new economic opportunities.”

The airline also plans to offer a loyalty program to reward frequent flyers, eventually.
