IHG Hotels and Resorts has signed a management agreement with AHG Hotels and Resorts Private Limited to develop the Holiday Inn Resort Kasauli. The new-build property will feature 300 rooms.

The signing of the new Holiday Inn Resort Kasauli will further strengthen the brand’s presence in key tourism destinations and enable IHG to sustain growth momentum within the Indian market.

Holiday Inn Resort Kasauli will be located within one of Kasauli’s largest and most prominent resort areas, offering excellent visibility and convenient access to the city center, prime tourist spots, and the Chandigarh-Shimla highway. Kasauli has emerged as one of the most sought-after leisure destinations in North India, known for its proximity and accessibility from Shimla, Chandigarh, and New Delhi. The town is also famous for its dense forests and floras, panoramic views of the snow-clad Himalayan mountains, colonial architecture, and pleasant climate.

Holiday Inn Resort Kasauli will overlook a charming valley within the Shivalik Hills, providing excellent views of the Himalayan Mountain range.

The resort will cater to the needs of leisure travellers, corporate retreats and social MICE including weddings from guests seeking tranquility and natural beauty, once opened. In addition to an all-day dining restaurant, Holiday Inn Resort Kasauli will feature a lobby lounge and a bar. For those looking to unwind, the resort will provide access to a well-equipped gymnasium and a swimming pool. Holiday Inn Resort Kasauli will also feature a 2,300-square-meter meeting room.

Commenting on the announcement, Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels and Resorts said, “We are delighted to partner with AHG Hotels and Resorts Private Limited to introduce the Holiday Inn brand in Kasauli. As one of the most popular hill stations in North India, Kasauli attracts a multitude of travellers from Punjab, Delhi NCR, and UP. The new resort is set to become a preferred venue for social gatherings, weddings, and MICE events, while also providing exceptional stays for guests looking to explore the town.”

He added, “The latest signing is a testament to our plans to tap into key leisure destinations across the country and we are committed to continue with the growth momentum by bringing our brands to markets such as Kasauli.”
