The Uttar Pradesh government is set to introduce helicopter services to Ayodhya from six districts in the state by the end of this month. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and promote tourism to the historic Ayodhya.
The services will be started from Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mathura and Agra.
Helicopter services will be started from Lucknow later this month, Mukesh Kumar Meshram, (IAS), Principal Secretary, Tourism, told PTI. He added that the government has fixed the fare for the services.
In addition to this, the state government is also introducing an aerial darshan of Ayodhya and the Ram temple there, Meshram said.
Helicopter rides for the aerial darshan will commence from a dedicated helipad situated near the tourism guesthouse along the serene banks of the Saryu River. To partake in this extraordinary experience, interested individuals must make advance bookings, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable journey.
The 15-minute aerial tour will cover key sites, including the renowned Ram temple, the sacred Hanumangarhi, and the picturesque Saryu ghat. Officials have fixed the duration of the aerial darshan at a maximum of 15 minutes, offering participants a condensed yet immersive exploration of Ayodhya. The fixed fare for this exclusive aerial tour has been set at Rs 3,539 per person.
