The roadshow was hosted by the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka on 16th January 2023, in Paris, France. The board promoted the state as a premier tourist destination.
The Roadshow in Paris was represented by Kapil Mohan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, along with the stakeholders of Karnataka Tourism. Some of the stakeholders who exhibited at the roadshow included Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation, Skyway International Travel, Mysore Taxiwala, Green Path Eco Hotel, Gamyam Ayurveda and Yoga Retreat, Bandipur Dhole’s Den and Jungle Lodges and Resorts.
On Monday, Karnataka Tourism showcased its many facets in Paris. His Excellency, Jawed Ashraf, Ambassador of India to France and the Principality of Monaco was present at the Roadshow. He spoke about Karnataka as a landmark tourism destination with a host of offerings for French travellers. Karnataka is a versatile state offering a variety of tourism products, activity-filled tourist destinations, wildlife sanctuaries, natural scenic beauty, cuisines, heritage, tribal culture, handicrafts, wellness, and mindful tourism, among many more things to explore and experience.
This was followed by an in-depth presentation by Kapil Mohan, who addressed the audience and made a detailed presentation on Karnataka’s offerings such as the spectacular wildlife, heritage, culture and cuisine of the state. The audience was then treated to audio-visuals of Karnataka Tourism highlighting the adventure activities available in the State, the Wildlife of Karnataka, and the Jungle Lodges and Resorts offerings by the state.
The wonders of Karnataka range from the pristine beaches of Gokarna to the world-famous heritage site of Hampi. The vibrant culture of Mysore dazzles during the Dasara celebrations and the mysticism and rituals at Shravanabelagola resonate throughout the region during the Mahamastakabhisheka of Gomteshwara. The tigers of Bandipur roar majestically while the waters of the river Sharavati cascade in silvery splendor at the Jogged Falls. The state of Karnataka is nothing more than a dream come true for lovers of nature, adventure, culture, and heritage. A truly refreshing and rewarding destination for all travellers around the world.
This roadshow in Paris was an excellent platform for B2B meetings between the travel trade, media, and bloggers from France and stakeholders from Karnataka. The roadshow showcased the offerings of the state of Karnataka to travellers to ensure smooth and seamless experiences throughout their journey. Karnataka is not only one of the most beautiful states in India but also a safe and secure destination for travellers; adhering to all the necessary health and safety guidelines. The event concluded with a networking dinner and interactions among the invitees and the Karnataka Tourism stakeholders.
