Tourism Malaysia took a significant stride towards fostering bilateral tourism ties with India by formalising a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI). The MOU was ceremoniously signed on February 22, 2024, at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, during SATTE in Delhi.

The signing ceremony, graced by Riaz Munshi, President of OTOAI, Shravan Bhalla, Vice President, Sidharth Khanna, General Secretary, and Gurdeep Singh Gujral Treasurer, marked a pivotal moment in the collaboration between Malaysia and OTOAI. The event showcased both entities’ commitment to fortifying their partnership for the mutual benefit of their respective members.

Under the terms of this MOU, Tourism Malaysia and OTOAI pledge to work collaboratively, focusing on joint activities and initiatives that promote the growth of tourism between the two nations. This strategic partnership aims to facilitate seamless travel experiences, enhancing the overall appeal of Malaysia as a preferred destination for Indian tourists.
