Riding on the wave of recent tourism successes, Greece has witnessed a remarkable surge in visitor numbers, with 27.8 million tourists in 2022 and an impressive 32 million in 2023. As Greece continues to soar, the nation remains steadfast in its efforts to provide unparalleled experiences to travellers from across the globe.
Recognising the immense potential of the Indian market, Greece has strategically positioned India as a key focus for tourism expansion. Following high-level discussions between the Prime Minister of Greece and the Prime Minister of India in August 2023, both nations have intensified efforts to strengthen economic and tourism ties, with a particular emphasis on facilitating connecting flights and fostering cultural exchanges.
