The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) convened for a Familiarisation trip from December 5–10, 2023, in the picturesque Bhaderwah region of Jammu. This trip aimed to showcase the hidden gems and cultural richness of this unexplored destination.

This study tour was organised in association with the Bhaderwah Travel Trade Association and the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Board. Vivekanand Rai (Director Tourism) and Sunaina Sharma (Joint Director), along with Abdul Jabbar and Arif Lone of the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Board, flagged off the tour from the TRC office in Jammu on December 5, 2023.

On arrival at Bhaderwah, Tariqu Chowdhary, Shabbir Ahmed, Ishaq Sheikh, and their members of the Travel Trade Association were given a warm welcome.

During the trip, members of the association had the opportunity to explore key attractions of Bhaderwah and Jammu, including the enchanting Jai Valley, the scenic Gulldanda, the historic Vasuki Nag Temple, the culturally significant Akshnoor Buddhist Monastery, the ancient Pandav Gufa, the Suchetgarh Indo-Pak Border, and several other ancient and beautiful temples scattered across the region.

Bhaderwah, nestled near Jammu, emerged as a serene and unexplored destination, captivating the participants with its natural beauty and cultural significance. The Familiarisation Trip not only provided firsthand experiences but also served as a platform for the members to appreciate the potential of Bhaderwah as a unique and promising travel destination.

On completion of the tour, Dharmendra Singh (Chapter Chairman), Sagar Shinde (Chapter Secretary), D. R. Chouhan (EC Member), and other ADTOI members conveyed a thank-you message to all the organisers for the wonderful study trip. Yaseen from Incredible Tours was with the tour members throughout the trip and explained everything in detail.
