A two-day Sufiana Nights programme was recently organised by Delhi Tourism and had some captivating performances by the Sufi Band led by Salman Zaman, leaving the audience in awe. The event held in Delhi offered free entry to the enchanting experience.
Saurabh Bharadwaj, Minister of Tourism, GNCTD, graced the occasion as the chief guest, accompanied by other distinguished dignitaries and senior officers who added to the grandeur of the event.
“Sufi,” derived from the word “Safa,” meaning purity, embodies the essence of a devotee free from worldly evils. Sufis, as seekers of love, are devoted entirely to their beloved, with a philosophy known as Tasawwuf – a state of being detached from the world but immersed in love, with the ultimate goal of meeting Allah. The Sufiana Nights were meticulously curated to showcase and inspire towards this soulful love, offering a spiritual journey through music and culture.
This initiative by Delhi Tourism not only entertained but also provided an exceptional opportunity for the general public to connect with their spiritual side amidst their busy schedules.
