Shri Satpal Maharaj, Tourism Minister, Uttarakhand, held a one-on-one meeting yesterday with the senior officials of the Uttarakhand Tourism Department on the master plan of Auli. According to him, Auli will become a year-round tourist destination.
The Tourism Minister added they will also develop a skiing village in Auli. In addition, various activities related to adventure tourism will also be organised in Auli throughout the year, e.g., skiing in winter, and adventure sports like trekking, hiking, and rock climbing in the other seasons.
He also said that training slopes would also be constructed for small children. And facilities will be developed for all age groups. Extensive infrastructure development works will also be undertaken in Auli under the master plan to attract maximum tourists.
Auli is a known tourist destination in Uttarakhand, and it attracts tourists from all over the country who come to enjoy the snowfall in winter as well as the skiing championships. The Secretary of Tourism Shri Dilip Jawalkar along with other senior officials of the Tourism Department were also present at the meeting.
