Ibrahim Shiuree has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). At 40, Shiuree brings a wealth of experience and a diverse background to his new role, promising dynamic leadership and innovative strategies to enhance the Maldives’ reputation as a premier travel destination.

Shiuree’s career is marked by significant contributions across various sectors. Most recently, he served as a Steering Committee member for the World Bank’s Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth project, highlighting his dedication to youth development and capacity building. His commitment to sports is also noteworthy; he currently serves as the Vice President of the Table Tennis Association of Maldives and has been honored with the prestigious National Award for his contributions to the sport.

In the private sector, Shiuree has held the position of Director of Projects and Infrastructure, where he led major airport development projects across the Maldives, including those at Fuvahmulah, Dharavandhoo, Ifuru, Kooddoo, Kuda Huvadhoo, and Kulhudhuhfushi. His extensive experience in infrastructure projects underscores his capability to drive large-scale initiatives successfully.

Shiuree is also an active Executive Board Member of the Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI), where he contributes to the development and advancement of the construction sector. His versatility extends to his previous role as a member of the Hajj Corporation, demonstrating his broad expertise across different industries.
