In a major development, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has partnered with two real estate companies to bring its Ramada brand to two of India’s most iconic pilgrimage destinations—Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh and Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh. These two properties are set to elevate the hospitality experience in their respective regions, catering to leisure, spiritual tourism, weddings, and MICE travellers.

MRVH Resorts, a real estate firm specialising in hotels and housing, has signed a franchise agreement with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts to open the Ramada Resort by Wyndham Omkareshwar Khandwa Road.

MRVH Resorts’ Directors, Harpal Singh Sachdeva and Jitendra Singh and Rahul Chawla stated that this affiliation indicates our determination to bring one of the world’s most recognized international hotel brands ‘Ramada Resort by Wyndham’ to the pilgrim destination of Omkareshwar, much in time before grand ‘Simhastha’ in 2028.

This Ramada Resort in Omkareshwar will feature 150 keys including villas. Additional features include facilities like an all-day dining & bar lounge, banquet halls, lawns, meeting rooms, fitness centre, swimming pool and recreational facilities. The hotel is currently in the advanced planning stage and is expected to open towards the end of 2026.

Omkareshwar is a popular Hindu pilgrim destination and the temple is also known as Shri Omkarnath Temple situated in Madhya Pradesh on Mandhata Island. The hotel would be situated strategically on 13.5 acres of land providing tourists with experience of panoramic hill views with lush landscapes and ample opportunity for guests to take up activities within the resort.

Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts stated, “Signing the new Ramada Resort in the prominent pilgrimage destination Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh is another great step for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in enhancing its offerings supporting the growth of spiritual tourism in India.”

When open in December 2026, Ramada Resort Omkareshwar will offer stunning accommodations, a variety of leisure facilities, amenities and services delivering Ramada Brand promise and all of that in a location with stunning scenic views and nature.

This resort will be developed under a branded residences model, providing investors a unique opportunity to purchase units in an internationally branded hotel and resort, situated in a popular pilgrim destination.
