Welcome Wonder Travel Service, a Taiwan-based destination management company, has appointed Global Destinations as its official representative in India, in a move aimed at strengthening its presence in the rapidly growing Indian outbound travel market.
Led by Sonia Chang, Chairperson, and Jie Lee, Inbound Director, Welcome Wonder Travel Service has built a reputation for delivering customised leisure programmes, group travel arrangements, and MICE solutions across Taiwan. The company is recognised for its strong destination expertise, extensive supplier network, and operational capabilities catering to international travellers.
The appointment comes at a time when Indian outbound travel continues to diversify across Asia, with travellers seeking culturally immersive, safe, and experience-led destinations beyond traditional circuits. Taiwan’s blend of contemporary cities, natural landscapes, culinary heritage, and efficient infrastructure positions it as a compelling alternative within East Asia for both leisure and incentive travel.
As India representative, Global Destinations will lead strategic market development, trade engagement, and partnership initiatives to expand Taiwan’s visibility and conversion across the Indian market. The focus will include curated leisure itineraries, incentive programs, special interest travel, and group movements supported by strong on-ground operational backing.

Commenting on the partnership, Pranav Kapadia, Founder and Managing Director, Global Destinations, said, “Taiwan aligns closely with the evolving aspirations of the Indian outbound traveller. Its depth of cultural experiences, modern appeal, and robust infrastructure create significant opportunities across leisure and MICE segments. This partnership enables structured market development and sustained trade engagement to position Taiwan as a high-potential destination for India.”

Adding perspective on the Indian market, Sonia Chang, Chairperson, Welcome Wonder Travel Service, stated, “India represents a strategically important growth market for Taiwan’s inbound tourism sector. The increasing appetite among Indian travellers for new Asian destinations presents strong potential for long-term engagement. Through our collaboration with Global Destinations, we aim to build focused trade relationships, adapt our offerings to Indian preferences, and strengthen Taiwan’s positioning within the Indian outbound landscape.”
The partnership also expands Global Destinations’ Asia portfolio, while providing Indian travel partners with direct access to local destination expertise in Taiwan.
