The Vietnam Immigration Department has announced significant updates to its electronic visa (E-visa) system, effective from November 11, 2024. The Vietnam Electronic Visa Portal will now be accessible through two new official domains: thithucdientu.gov.vn and evisa.gov.vn. These upgrades aim to streamline the visa application process for foreign visitors and enhance user experience with a redesigned interface and additional resources.
The new portal includes an upgraded interface and FAQ section available in both English and Vietnamese.
Vietnam E-visa is valid for maximum of 90 days, single or multiple entry. Travellers can apply for the E-visa either independently or through designated requesting agencies and organisations. The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid through an electronic payment gateway as specified by the Immigration Department.
Foreign visitors using the E-visa are advised to acquaint themselves with designated entry and exit points. This information is particularly vital as access points for both E-visas and traditional visas may vary across airports, ports, and land borders. Travellers can review the complete list of approved entry and exit points for E-visa holders here.
