The Uttar Pradesh Government has appointed Dr Vedpati Mishra, a 2008-batch IAS officer, as the new Director General of Tourism, Uttar Pradesh.
Prior to this appointment, Dr Mishra was serving as Secretary, Uttar Pradesh State Information Commission. In his new role, he will be responsible for steering the state’s tourism strategy, promotion initiatives and policy implementation.
Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar II, a 2009-batch IAS officer who was earlier serving as Director General of Tourism, Uttar Pradesh, has been appointed Secretary, Uttar Pradesh State Human Rights Commission.
The administrative reshuffle is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and leadership across key departments.
