Tourism India Alliance (TIA) to host TEX 2027 at Mayfair Lake Resort, Raipur

TIA to host TEX 2027 at Mayfair Lake Resort, Raipur from January 7–9

Tourism India Alliance (TIA) has announced that the next edition of its flagship event, Tourism Exchange (TEX) 2027, will be held from 7–9 January 2027 at Mayfair Lake Resort, Raipur, bringing together tourism stakeholders from across India and international markets.

Expected to attract more than 350 delegates and over 50 exhibitors, TEX 2027 will serve as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, destination promotion and business development across the tourism sector.

Announcing the venue, Ritesh Mundhra, Chairman, TEX 2027 Organising Committee, said, “The selection of Mayfair Lake Resort adds a special dimension to the event. Widely regarded as one of the most iconic hospitality destinations in Central India, the resort is a destination in its own right. Its blend of luxury, natural surroundings and convention facilities creates the ideal environment for meaningful networking and relationship building.”

According to TIA, the event has been designed with a broader objective than a traditional industry gathering. Rather than focusing solely on Raipur, TEX 2027 aims to showcase the tourism potential of the entire state of Chhattisgarh.

Mukesh Jain, Executive Vice President, TIA, said, “TEX 2027 is being designed around a simple yet powerful vision: to showcase the tourism potential of the entire state of Chhattisgarh, not just its capital city. We want every delegate attending TEX 2027 to leave with a deeper understanding of Chhattisgarh as a tourism destination and discover experiences they can confidently promote to their clients.”

To support this vision, TIA will organise a series of destination familiarisation programmes before and after the event.

Pre-event familiarisation tours, scheduled for 6–7 January 2027, will include:

Sirpur & Barnawapara – combining archaeological heritage with wildlife experiences.

Bhoramdeo & Saroda Dadar – highlighting cultural heritage, eco-tourism and adventure tourism offerings.

The Temple Trail – showcasing key religious and spiritual destinations across the state.

Following the event, delegates will have the opportunity to participate in a post-event familiarisation tour to Bastar from 9–11 January 2027.

Often regarded as the crown jewel of Chhattisgarh tourism, Bastar is known for its tribal heritage, forests, waterfalls, handicrafts, culture and adventure experiences, offering visitors an authentic and lesser-explored side of India.

Jagdeep Bhagat, President, TIA, said, “By combining business networking with destination discovery, TEX 2027 aims to create lasting value for both delegates and destinations. The event will provide opportunities for travel professionals to build partnerships, gain fresh insights, and explore emerging tourism products while experiencing first-hand the diversity that Chhattisgarh has to offer.”

TIA stated that registrations for TEX 2027 will open shortly, with further announcements regarding exhibitors, hosted buyers, sponsorship opportunities and delegate participation expected in the coming months.

With its combination of business engagement and immersive destination experiences, TEX 2027 aims to position Chhattisgarh more prominently on the tourism map while creating new opportunities for collaboration across the travel trade.
