Under the banner of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), Rajasthan’s tourism and hospitality stakeholders convened at the Vesta International Hotel in Jaipur on Saturday. The occasion marked the Rajasthan Hospitality and Tourism Stakeholder Meet-2024, aimed at honouring distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to the tourism sector.

On this occasion, Virendra Shekhawat, Secretary of ADTOI Rajasthan, said the event was organized to unite all stakeholders on one platform. The People behind this elevation of the state’s tourism, through their experience and hard work. Officials from both central and state tourism departments were also present at the meeting. The program included discussions on the challenges and solutions in the tourism sector. Shekhawat mentioned that they aim to promote rural and domestic tourism to help each other grow.

The inauguration ceremony saw the lighting of the lamp by notable figures such as GD Bairwa from the Central Tourism Ministry, Rakesh Sharma, Additional Director of the Rajasthan Tourism Department, and other chief guests. Kuldeep Singh Chandela, President of the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) and the Hotel and Restaurant Association (HRAR), Khalid Khan, Vice President of FHTR, Mahendra Singh, President of the Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO) and Co-Chairman of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) Rajasthan, Mohan Singh Medtia, Secretary of RATO, Rajendra Singh Jodha, Executive Committee Member of RATO and FHTR, and Sanjay Kaushik, National Growth Committee Advisor, were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

A pivotal discussion revolved around wedding themes and wedding tourism, led by Kuldeep Singh, President of HRAR. He mentioned that wedding themes are currently in trend, and promoting this in Rajasthan can significantly boost domestic tourism. They are working deeply on this.

ADTOI President P.P. Khanna emphasised that domestic tourism is the main engine of the economy at both the national and state levels and needs a push. Surendra Shahpura, a member of the organisation, stressed focusing on heritage and culture. Senior Vice President Rajat Sawhney, ADTOI Rajasthan Chairman Hem Singh, Mahendra Singh, and Vivek Goenka also addressed the platform.

The meet was attended by ADTOI Treasurer Surendra Kumar, Sukhdev Singh, Pradeep Srivastava, Arvind Jodha, Gunjan Mathur, Narendra Singh, Harendra Singh, Swetank Maheshwari, Kamal Sarawgi, Man Singh, ADTOI Rajasthan team, Guide Association, Forum, and members of the Indian Heritage Hotel Association (IHHA)
