Tatabye Tours, one of the top four travel wholesalers of the India market, recently organised the longest familiarisation (FAM) trip to the Maldives for their top partners from India. 13 people from different parts of India arrived in the Maldives on July 26, 2022, and explored and experienced eight different properties in eight days.
Tatabye Tours is an eight years old company based in South India and one of the strongest wholesalers for the Maldives in the Indian market with 110 plus directly contracted resorts. Tatabye Tours has a major market share in the Maldives from India.
Roshan Jain, Founder Tatabye Tours, headed the FAM group, while Maldives Tourism Board welcomed everyone with their unique hospitality. The board also shared an information kit with everyone so the group could have first-hand information about the exciting destination.
The group consisted of the best travel professionals, which included Travel Geek Holidays, Duniya Safari, Coastalin, Travelling Compass, Travel Saga Holidays, 7 Ocean Tourism, Apple Holidays, Pearl Travels, Ocean Touch Tourism, and also the Sales and Marketing team from Tatabye Maldives.
The group was hosted at eight different properties such as Sheraton Full Moon Resort and Spa, Lux* South Ari Atoll, Grand Park Kodhipparu, Dhigufaru Island Resort, The Standard Maldives, Paradise Island Resort and Spa, Sun Siyam Iruveli, and Sun Aqua Vilureef, where they experienced the world-renowned Maldivian hospitality, unique experiences, and different cuisines at the hosted properties.
The purpose of this trip was to create awareness in the India market about how the Maldives has recovered as a destination after the pandemic and the unique products and experiences the island nation offers visitors.
With this trip, Tatabye Tours hoped that the travel agents would be able to market Maldives Holidays with more precision and dedication after experiencing the products and service standards for themselves. This was also the purpose and target of MMPRC & Tatabye Tours, which aims to achieve good mileage with the familiarisation trips for travel agents worldwide.
