Vietnam’s Appeal and Ninh Binh’s Untapped Potential

Vietnam has gained immense popularity among Indian travelers in recent years, and Ninh Binh, located just three hours from Hanoi, is no exception. Speaking about the destination, Ajay Prakash, President of TAFI, said, “Ninh Binh is a fascinating and stunning place, ideal for families and young couples. The ecotourism zone at Thung Nham, the boat tours through the caves at Trang An, and the vibrant waterfront in the old town of Ninh Binh are all delightful experiences.”

Despite its beauty, Ninh Binh remains relatively unexplored by Indian tourists. Ajay explained, “TAFI aims to introduce our members to lesser-known destinations, reinforcing our belief that tourism should extend beyond popular spots. Ninh Binh is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.”

Focus on Sustainability

The theme of this year’s convention, “Tourism for Tomorrow: Protecting the Planet,” emphasises the importance of sustainability in the travel industry. Ajay Prakash highlighted the responsibility of the tourism sector, stating, “Our industry thrives on the natural beauty and diversity of the world, but we also have a duty to protect it. TAFI is committed to sensitizing its members, who in turn can educate their clients on responsible tourism practices.”

Running until January 20, 2025, the convention brings together over 350 delegates and industry leaders for meaningful discussions on the future of tourism. A key highlight is the B2B interactive session featuring more than 50 Vietnamese travel companies, providing opportunities for collaboration and exploration of new business prospects.
