The TAAI MP & CG Chapter organised a luxury familiarisation (FAM) tour to Sri Lanka for its members from May 15–21, 2026, hosted by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau. The delegation was led by Hemendra Singh Jadon, Chairman of the TAAI MP & CG Chapter.
The visit began with a productive B2B networking session involving leading Sri Lankan Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and tourism suppliers. The delegation was warmly welcomed by SLAITO President Nalin Jayasundera, Nalaka Amaratunga and other office bearers.
The objective of the tour was to provide members with firsthand exposure to Sri Lanka’s tourism products, cultural heritage, hospitality and cuisine. Members explored luxury hotels, scenic attractions and experienced the destination’s renowned warmth and hospitality.
The delegation travelled across Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ahungalla and Negombo. A key highlight was the visit to the Seetha Amman Temple, also known as Sita Eliya Temple, an important site on the Ramayana tourism circuit popular among Indian travellers.
The tour enhanced destination knowledge, strengthened business networking and equipped members to promote Sri Lanka more effectively in the Indian outbound travel market.
