Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will continue operating additional direct flights between Zurich and Delhi through June and until July 11, 2026, in response to increasing demand for nonstop connections between India and Europe.
In addition to its regular daily Zurich–Delhi service, the airline is operating a second daily flight using an Airbus A330 aircraft.
According to SWISS, the additional services have been introduced as many passengers travelling between Asia and Europe are currently unable to use originally booked itineraries routed through the Gulf region due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East. The airline said this has led to a significant increase in demand for direct connections.
Under the expanded schedule, the additional daily flights will operate as LX2646 from Zurich to Delhi, departing at 12:35 hrs and arriving at 00:00 hrs, and LX2647 from Delhi to Zurich, departing at 01:40 hrs and arriving at 07:00 hrs.
These flights will operate alongside SWISS’ regular daily services, with flight LX146 departing Zurich at 12:10 hrs and arriving in Delhi at 23:35 hrs, while flight LX147 departs Delhi at 01:05 hrs and arrives in Zurich at 06:20 hrs.
The airline stated that bookings for the additional services are available with immediate effect.
SWISS further noted that it is continuously monitoring developments in the Middle East and assessing how available aircraft and operational capacity can be deployed in markets witnessing strong demand.
The airline added that operational decisions continue to depend on factors including airport slot availability, traffic rights and fleet deployment capabilities.
