The Embassy of India in Kuwait has announced the immediate discontinuation of facilitation for Saudi transit visas for Indian nationals, effective April 15, 2026. The decision has been taken in view of the upcoming Hajj season in Saudi Arabia.
The advisory stated that the earlier arrangement, under which transit visa requests were routed through the Embassy, will no longer be operational until further notice.
Indian nationals planning to travel via Saudi Arabia have been advised to directly consult their respective airlines for updated immigration requirements, transit procedures and visa-related formalities before making travel arrangements.
The Embassy also clarified that it will not accept or process any new requests for Saudi transit visas under the previous mechanism during this period.
