Saudi allows a 30-day grace period for holders of expired visit visas for final exit

The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia has announced the launch of a new initiative aimed at facilitating the extension of all types and categories of expired visit visas for the purpose of final exit. The initiative will take effect from Muharram 1, 1447 AH (June 26, 2025).

As part of the initiative, individuals will be granted a 30-day extension window, provided they pay the applicable fees and penalties in accordance with existing regulations.

Eligible applicants are required to submit their extension requests through the “Tawasul Service” available on the Ministry of Interior’s Absher electronic platform during the designated period.

The Directorate urged all eligible individuals to take advantage of this limited-time initiative before the deadline and ensure compliance with visa regulations.
