Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, has opened ticket sales for its daily Mumbai-Riyadh service, marking the airline’s entry into the Indian market and expanding its growing network to nine destinations.

The new route will commence on August 4, 2026, connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) with King Khalid International Airport (RUH). The airline said additional destinations will be announced in the coming weeks as it continues to expand its global network.

The route will be operated using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, featuring the airline’s latest cabin interiors across all travel classes.

The daily flight will depart Mumbai at 22:05 and arrive in Riyadh at 23:50 (local time). The return service will depart Riyadh at 14:05 and land in Mumbai at 20:35.

The airline said the service will provide Indian travellers with onward connections via Riyadh to destinations across Europe and the Middle East, including London, Madrid, Jeddah and Cairo. The route is expected to cater to business and leisure travellers, as well as the large Indian expatriate community in Saudi Arabia.

Commenting on the launch, Tony Douglas, Chief Executive Officer, Riyadh Air, said, “With India emerging as one of the fastest-growing aviation markets globally, we are delighted to offer travellers a new premium choice and enhanced global connectivity from Mumbai to Riyadh, and onwards to Europe. This route has been carefully selected to align with our ambition to become a global airline and a significant contributor to Vision 2030. We look forward to welcoming our guests aboard to experience our distinctive Saudi hospitality as we connect these two great cities and continue to redefine the future of air travel.”

According to the airline, the new service will also strengthen Riyadh’s position as a regional aviation hub while supporting growing business, tourism and cultural links between India and Saudi Arabia.

Tickets are now available through the Riyadh Air website, mobile application and authorised travel partners. Travellers can also enrol as Founding Members of the airline’s Sfeer loyalty programme, which offers benefits including a best-offer guarantee, complimentary Wi-Fi and reward points from the first flight.
