Rail Europe has integrated the BritRail Pass into its global B2B distribution ecosystem, reinforcing its position as a specialist in European rail passes while strengthening its Great Britain offering for travel agents, OTAs and tour operators worldwide.
Available exclusively to travellers residing outside the United Kingdom, the BritRail Pass offers flexible access to the National Rail network, including key airport links such as Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express and Stansted Express. It also covers sleeper services, including the Caledonian Sleeper and the Night Riviera, with berth reservations required.
For the travel trade, the product addresses key priorities such as operational simplicity, fare flexibility and the ability to build structured itineraries across Great Britain. Alongside the national BritRail Pass, the portfolio includes several regional options that enable travel advisors to design tailored itineraries across specific regions.
The portfolio includes the BritRail Pass, BritRail England Pass, BritRail South West & South Wales Pass, BritRail Spirit of Scotland Pass (standard class only), and the BritRail London Plus Pass.
Most passes are available in First and Standard Class with both consecutive and flexible validity options, along with youth, senior and child discounts. The product also includes added-value benefits such as 2-for-1 attraction offers.
Rail Europe distributes the digital M-Pass version through its B2B platforms, allowing agents to manage bookings and activate travel days through a QR code-based mobile ticket. The mobile-first functionality simplifies operations while maintaining flexibility for travellers.
Commenting on the development, Björn Bender, CEO of Rail Europe, said, “The BritRail Pass strengthens our role as experts in European rail passes. It complements our existing portfolio and enables our global trade partners to build more flexible, higher-value Great Britain itineraries, particularly for long-haul markets where regional exploration is becoming increasingly important.”
