Poland visa alert: Embassy warns against using visa intermediaries

Poland Visa

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi and the Consulate General in Mumbai have issued an important notice clarifying their visa process and warning applicants against using intermediaries. They emphasized that the diplomatic missions do not collaborate with any external companies, including travel agencies, employment firms, or visa centers, in processing visa applications.

Applicants were advised that only consular officers are authorized to assess visa applications, which are reviewed individually based solely on the applicant’s submitted documents. The use of intermediaries does not lead to faster or more favorable processing, and visa facilitators are not involved at any stage. The only applicable fee is the official consular fee.

Visa applicants must personally complete and register their applications, depending on the visa type:

  • For national visas (work and studies): register on the e-Konsulat website.
  • For Schengen visas and other national categories: register via the VFS Global portal.

For national work visas, appointment slots are assigned via an electronic draw, while for study visas, they are allocated based on order of registration. Appointments are issued weekly, and applicants are informed through their registered contact details. Visa submission must be done in person at the designated VFS visa center.

The Embassy reiterated that they do not offer appointment scheduling or require any documents beyond those officially listed on their website. They cautioned applicants to avoid unauthorized intermediaries and to rely solely on official portals for visa procedures.
