One Above and VietJet conduct Vietnam FAM for leading tour operators in Mumbai

One Above DMC and VietJet recently co-hosted a nine-member delegation of travel experts from Mumbai to the latest trending destination in Asia, Vietnam. The aim was to create a first-hand experience of Vietnam and further highlight it as an attractive outbound destination for Indian travellers in the coming years.

The members of the FAM trip were founders and directors of leading travel companies in Mumbai, specialising in high-end luxury tours, MICE, FIT, and leisure travel. The group comprised of One Above, In Time, Tourister, Vinaayak Holidays, Kesari Travels, Jain and Jain Travels, Whiteboard, Plutus Voyages and Digital Travellers (media) who all experienced the best of Vietnam.

Vietnam is a land of staggering natural beauty and cultural complexities of dynamic megacities and hill tribes’ villages. Vietnam is both exotic and compelling and has become one of Southeast Asia’s premier travel destinations. This trip aimed to showcase the beautiful cities of the country covering Hanoi, Cat Ba Island, Halong, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Saigon along with its diverse tourism products and services as well as promote its MICE and wedding destinations in India.

The delegation also experienced some of the most iconic and luxurious properties in Vietnam, like Flamingo Dai Lai resort, JW Marriot Hanoi, Flamingo Cat Ba Beach Resort, Sheraton Hotel Hanoi, Furama Resort Danang, Pullman Saigon Hotel, and MGalery Saigon Hotel. Among the series of activities, they explored the most instagrammable locations like Paradise Explorer Cruise along the beautiful landscapes of Halong, the landmark of Ba Na Hills, Golden Bridge, Hoi An Ancient Town Tour, and much more.

The Indian delegates were welcomed by the Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) at the head office and met the Director of Quang Ninh Tourism to discuss possibilities and opportunities to increase tourism from India to Vietnam. The delegates were also hosted by the Da Nang Tourism Board, which was led by Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of Tourism, Da Nang City, Mai Thi Thanh Hai, and were supported by many hoteliers from the city.

“This FAM trip surveyed Vietnam’s tourism sector which was an opportunity to strengthen our connection and further exploit the Indian market. We can feel the keenness of Vietnam’s tourism sector in their approach and marketing initiatives in India and thus we are enthusiastic about promoting this destination for the high-income spenders,” said Rahim Aslam, Director, and Founder, One Above DMC.
