Novotel Ahmedabad has announced the appointment of Nikhil Chandra as its new General Manager, strengthening the hotel’s leadership as it continues to expand its presence across corporate, leisure, and MICE segments.

Chandra brings over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, with leadership roles across internationally recognised brands including Accor, Hilton, InterContinental Hotels Group, Radisson Hotel Group, and The Lalit Group. His career has been marked by a strong focus on operational excellence, revenue optimisation, and strategic business growth.

Prior to this appointment, Chandra served as General Manager at Grand Mercure Ahmedabad GIFT City, where he led the property through a period of strategic growth and consolidation. During his tenure, he focused on strengthening revenue performance, improving operational efficiencies, enhancing yield management practices, and reinforcing the hotel’s food and beverage positioning.

Earlier in his career, Chandra held leadership roles at The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar, Crowne Plaza Delhi Mayur Vihar, and DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon. In these roles, he played a key role in enhancing banquet and event operations, improving audit performance, strengthening guest engagement metrics, and maintaining strong relationships with ownership and regulatory authorities.

A certified General Manager through IHG’s Career Insight – GM Potential Program, Chandra is recognised for championing brand standards, driving revenue management excellence, and fostering collaborative team cultures.

In his new role at Novotel Ahmedabad, Chandra will focus on reinforcing the hotel’s market leadership across corporate, MICE, and social segments. His strategic priorities include strengthening revenue diversification, enhancing digital and direct booking channels, elevating service delivery standards, deepening stakeholder relationships, and embedding sustainable operational practices in line with Accor’s global vision. He will also emphasize talent development, internal capability building, and guest-centric innovation to ensure the hotel remains agile in a rapidly evolving hospitality landscape.
