Myanmar temporarily suspends tourist eVisa applications

The Ministry of Immigration and Population, Myanmar, has announced a temporary suspension of Tourist eVisa applications due to technical issues caused by the recent earthquake. The earthquake has impacted some of the online eVisa servers, prompting urgent repair work that is currently underway.

Despite the suspension, travellers who have already received approved Tourist eVisas or hold valid Tourist Visas issued by Myanmar embassies will still be permitted to enter and exit the country through designated international entry and exit points.

The Ministry assured that online eVisa (Business) applications remain unaffected and will continue to be accepted and processed as usual.

Authorities have stated that further updates will be issued once the repair work on the affected eVisa servers is complete. The Ministry has thanked travellers for their patience and cooperation during this period.
