Minor Hotels Sri Lanka

Minor Hotels Sri Lanka hosted an intimate evening for select travel trade partners and media at Kyma on April 17, bringing together key stakeholders for networking, updates, and relationship building.

The delegation from Sri Lanka was led by Rajindra Daniel, Area Director – Sales, and included Christoph Dueker, General Manager of Anantara Kalutara Resort and Avani Kalutara Resort; Frederik Van den Borre, General Manager of Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle; and Ashok Kumar, Cluster Sales Manager. Wim N.M. Fagel, General Manager of NH Bentota Ceysands Resort and NH Collection Colombo, was unable to attend due to an abrupt return to Sri Lanka.

The team’s visit to Mumbai was aimed at strengthening relationships with Indian partners and reaffirming their commitment to offering support whenever required. The evening unfolded over drinks and dinner, allowing for meaningful conversations and networking, with some attendees travelling from as far as Pune to be part of the gathering.

In a short address, Christoph Dueker said India remains a key market for Minor Hotels Sri Lanka; however, its potential is often under-recognised. He added that the team is working closely to better understand Indian travellers and enhance their stays through tailored, experiential offerings.

Minor Hotels Sri Lanka currently operates five luxury properties across the island, catering to a wide range of traveller preferences. Anantara Kalutara Resort offers a serene sanctuary designed for relaxation and indulgence, while Avani Kalutara Resort presents an idyllic coastal escape along the scenic shoreline. Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort is a tranquil retreat surrounded by natural beauty, and NH Bentota Ceysands Resort serves as a beachfront haven ideal for rejuvenation. In the capital, NH Collection Colombo offers a sophisticated urban stay with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean.

Strategically located near key entry points such as Colombo and Hambantota, these properties provide convenient access for international travellers. From city stays to beachside getaways, the portfolio caters to weddings, group travel, private events, and leisure holidays, offering versatile venues and curated experiences.
