Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has announced new flight services between Hanimaadhoo International Airport and Bengaluru, India, commencing on May 15, 2025.
This strategic initiative underscores Maldivian’s unwavering commitment to enhancing connectivity between the northern territories of the Maldives and key regional destinations. By introducing this route, Maldivian aims to provide passengers in the north with more travel options, while also fostering cultural and economic exchanges between the Maldives and India.
Starting from March 16, 2025, passengers can book tickets for the Hanimaadhoo-Bengaluru route through all Maldivian sales channels, including our official website, mobile application, and ticketing offices. This early booking option allows travellers to plan and secure their journeys well in advance.
To ensure maximum convenience and flexibility, Maldivian will operate two weekly flights on this route, with departures scheduled every Sunday and Thursday. The flight schedule is thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of both leisure and business travellers, particularly during peak travel periods.
“We are thrilled to expand our network with the introduction of the Hanimaadhoo-Bengaluru route,” said Ibrahim Iyas, Managing Director at Maldivian. “This new service not only enhances travel options for our passengers but also strengthens the cultural and economic ties between the Maldives and India. With our existing services between Trivandrum and Hanimaadhoo, we are further solidifying our commitment to connecting the northern islands with key regional destinations. We look forward to welcoming travellers on board and providing them with our exceptional service.”
