The Government of the Maldives has announced new regulations regarding vaporizer products, which will apply to everyone in the country, including visitors. These measures are part of the government’s efforts to promote public health.
Starting November 15, 2024, the Maldives will ban the import of all vaporizer devices, accessories, and parts. This restriction will extend further on December 15, 2024, when the possession, use, manufacturing, sale, promotion, and distribution of vaporizers will be prohibited nationwide. The measures apply equally to tourists and locals across the Maldives.
Tourists are not allowed to bring vaporizers into the Maldives. However, those arriving with a vaporizer device will not face penalties or denied entry. Instead, any vaporizers brought in will be confiscated vaporizer at the border and returned when the visitor departs the country.
All travellers to the Maldives are kindly requested to adhere to these regulations during their stay. Compliance will be expected from all individuals, with enforcement in place throughout the country.
