Rain Rave Water Music Festival Malaysia

Tourism Malaysia has announced that Malaysia will host the World Labour Day Celebration cum Rain Rave Water Music Festival from April 30 to May 2, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur. The event is positioned as a key tourism activation under the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign, aimed at attracting both regional and international visitors.

The festival, co-organised with The Fame, will be held in Bukit Bintang and is designed as a cross-cultural experience showcasing Malaysia’s multicultural identity. In addition to the main event in Kuala Lumpur, seven states, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Melaka, Kedah, WP Labuan, Pahang and Terengganu, will host complementary activities tailored to local culture and traditions.

Positioned as a strategic urban tourism initiative, the Rain Rave Water Music Festival seeks to stimulate visitor traffic and spending across retail, hospitality and services sectors, while supporting local businesses and enhancing industry resilience. The event also aligns with efforts to ensure inclusive tourism growth, benefiting a wider cross-section of communities.

The festival will feature immersive, rain-inspired environments, international and regional DJs alongside Malaysian artists, and curated lifestyle experiences highlighting local food, crafts and cultural expressions. Rooted in Malaysia’s natural and cultural identity, the concept blends traditional elements with contemporary creative formats.

Supported by agencies including Istana Budaya, the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation and the National Department for Culture and Arts, the event aims to deliver a comprehensive cultural and entertainment experience.

The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, along with relevant authorities, is overseeing planning and execution, including safety protocols, crowd management and regulatory compliance to ensure a smooth and secure event.

As Malaysia continues its preparations for Visit Malaysia 2026, the festival is expected to strengthen the country’s positioning as a vibrant and experience-led destination, welcoming visitors from around the world.
