Malaysia Airlines, together with its subsidiary airline Firefly, has announced enhanced regional connectivity through Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA Terminal 1), creating seamless travel options for international passengers.
Travellers from India, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, France, and beyond can now connect conveniently on Malaysia Airlines flights into Kuala Lumpur before transferring to Firefly’s expanding network across Southeast Asia. New regional routes launching this year include Krabi (Thailand) from November 17, Siem Reap (Cambodia) from November 27, and Cebu (Philippines) from December 2, 2025.
Under the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), Malaysia Airlines and Firefly offer smooth, integrated journeys with through check-in and baggage transfer for connecting passengers. Onboard experiences include meals, snacks, and the option to pre-book dishes inspired by Malaysian cuisine.
Firefly services from KLIA Terminal 1 are designed for comfort and value, providing all passengers with 10kg complimentary checked baggage and 7kg hand-carry baggage, along with in-flight refreshments. For those seeking extra convenience, the FY Flex upgrade offers 30kg checked baggage, unlimited flight changes (T&Cs apply), and priority services throughout the journey, enhancing flexibility and peace of mind.
