To experience the thrill of flying like birds in the sky, the golden opportunity of sky diving will now be available in Bhopal and Ujjain. Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, informed that a sky diving camp is going to be organised on 1st and 2nd March in Bhopal and 3rd to 6th March in Ujjain in collaboration with Pioneer Flying Academy, Aligarh, for the first time in the state. The camps will be put up near Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal and Airstrip in Ujjain.
The fee for sky diving is Rs 31,270. Tourists will be able to dive from a height of 10 thousand feet. The timing of sky diving will be from 8 am to 6 pm. Those interested can book online at booking.skyhighindia.com or contact on mobile number 9818890885.
Principal Secretary Shri Shukla informed that till now adventure lovers had to go outside the country to Dubai to experience sky diving. In India, this facility is available only in Narnol, Haryana. The Tourism board in Madhya Pradesh has provided the facility of sky diving to the tourists at low fees with the highest standards of safety measures.
Sky diving will be conducted by a partner of Pioneer Flying Academy, Sky High India. The organisation is trained by the United States Parachute Association. The aircraft to be used is registered with the Directorate of Civil Aviation. Tandem skydiving will be done with the help of skydivers trained by the institute. For adventure lovers above 18 who are fond of sky diving, the required health certificate for adventure sports by a doctor will be mandatory.
