Langkawi International Tourism Engagement (LITE) 2025 concluded successfully in Langkawi following four days of high-impact networking, destination discovery, and cross-border collaboration. Held from 8 to 11 December 2025 at Parkroyal Langkawi Resort, the event brought together tourism leaders, airline partners, global buyers, and regional stakeholders to strengthen Langkawi’s positioning across key international markets.
An initiative of the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), LITE 2025 welcomed delegates from Brunei, China, India, and Taiwan, who engaged with nearly 100 sellers representing 50 Langkawi-based companies. The strong participation reflected growing confidence and demand across Langkawi’s priority and emerging markets.

Since its inception, the LITE programme has connected over 140 buyers from six countries with more than 100 Langkawi sellers and operators, generating business deals valued at over RM4.17 million to date. The platform continues to play a vital role in facilitating meaningful partnerships and driving tangible outcomes for the destination.
Guided by the Malaysian saying “Tak kenal maka tak cinta”, to know us is to love us, LITE 2025 invited international delegates to experience Langkawi beyond its scenic appeal, presenting the island as a destination rich in heritage, warm hospitality, and future potential.
The Indian delegation comprised 30 buyers from cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Chennai, Bengaluru, Tiruchirappalli, Mangaluru, and Ludhiana, and was led by Poonam Nautiyal from the Tourism Malaysia – New Delhi office.
IndiGo and Malaysia Airlines served as the official airline partners for LITE 2025, supporting connectivity and reinforcing the event’s commitment to strengthening air access and tourism collaboration across the region.
