InterGlobe Air Transport, the General Sales Agent (GSA) for LATAM Airlines Group in India and Antarctica21, successfully hosted a B2B workshop in collaboration with ProChile on April 11, 2025, at Le Méridien New Delhi. The event aimed to engage the Indian travel trade and spotlight South America and Antarctica as aspirational long-haul destinations for Indian travellers.

The workshop showcased LATAM Airlines’ expansive global network and seamless connectivity from India via key gateways in Europe and North America. Seema Sharma, Sales Manager – India at InterGlobe Air Transport, noted, “Our mission is not only to promote LATAM Airlines but also to showcase the incredible continent of South America. The interest among Indian travellers is growing, and we see huge potential for expansion. It’s time for Indian travellers to explore beyond traditional destinations like Europe and Southeast Asia and embrace South America.”

LATAM Airlines offers robust connectivity from India through its interline partners. In Europe, the airline flies from London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid, Lisbon, Barcelona, and Rome. From Madrid, travellers can also connect directly to Lima and Santiago, in addition to São Paulo. LATAM also flies from six cities in North America: New York, Boston, Orlando, Miami, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, and from Johannesburg in Africa. In the Pacific region, connections are available from Sydney, Auckland, and Brisbane to South America.

Seema added, “From India, passengers can fly via London, Paris, or Frankfurt on Air India, British Airways, or Virgin Atlantic, and connect onward to South America on LATAM. With interline partnerships and through-check baggage, it’s a smooth and convenient journey.”

A highlight of the event was the participation of Juan Cristobal Del Pedregal Bravo, Senior Commercial Director at Antarctica21, who presented the company’s premium fly-cruise model to Antarctica. “We’ve been active in the Indian market for four years now, and we see increasing interest. Indian travellers value time and comfort, which is why our fly-cruise model is ideal; it avoids the lengthy Drake Passage crossing and offers a compact 7-night, 8-day itinerary,” he said.

He further emphasised that the expedition-style experience is limited to small groups, with only 38 cabins per departure. “We fly to Antarctica in just two hours, making it far more comfortable than the traditional sea route,” he added. The strong demand and high occupancy rates make early bookings essential.
