Two leading hospitality companies have joined forces to create a powerhouse organisation strategically positioned for the future of the Indian hospitality industry. LaRiSa Hotels and Resorts, which owns and operates a portfolio of eight properties across India, and AM Hotel Kollection, which manages 18 experiential boutique hotels, have now merged under the LaRiSa Hotels and Resorts brand. The combined entity boasts an annual operating revenue of over INR 100 crore, with 26 operational units comprising 950 keys and an additional six hotels with 120 keys in the pipeline.
In its new avatar, LaRiSa Hotels and Resorts integrates the unique strengths of AM Hotel Kollection, known for managing independent and lifestyle properties, with LaRiSa Hotels’ expertise in owned, operated, and curated experiential hospitality. The merger aims to drive greater success and accelerated growth, enabling the company to expand into branded and co-branded ownership and management. With combined centers of excellence, the organisation is set to become the property manager and employer of choice, delivering enhanced service to hotel owners and guests. Over the next few years, the merged entity anticipates 20-25 per cent growth, alongside plans to increase revenue through new acquisitions and management contracts.
Hospitality Innovators Join Forces
The newly structured company is led by Priya Thakur, Owner and Director of LaRiSa Hotels, and Randhir Narayan, Founder and CEO of AM Hotel Kollection. This strategic partnership creates a 32-property portfolio of hotels, resorts, and villas across India and beyond. AM Hotel Kollection will continue as a sub-brand within LaRiSa Hotels and Resorts, maintaining its distinct identity while benefiting from expanded resources and a broader vision.
Commenting on the merger, Priya Thakur stated, “This merger marks a milestone in LaRiSa’s journey, bringing together two like-minded brands that share a passion for redefining hospitality. Our goal is to become the best in independent and brand management, while offering the most experiential hospitality for our guests, employees, and the communities we serve. Together, we envision expansion in the coming years, introducing even more diverse, immersive, and transformative experiences.”
Randhir Narayan added, “The core idea has always been about achieving the perfect balance between business strategy, employee culture, and unique guest experiences. We recognized the exceptional advantages of combining our organizations’ strengths. Under the new umbrella brand, LaRiSa Hotels and Resorts, with its experience in owned properties and capability to innovate, we will significantly enhance owner value, create employee advancement opportunities, and drive portfolio growth.”
New Mid-Market Brand and International Expansion Plans
In addition to the merger, the company is working on launching a new mid-market hospitality brand, targeting rooms priced at approximately USD 50 to 100 (INR 4,000–9,000). Recognising the potential in both the boutique and curated hospitality segments, this initiative aims to provide affordable yet experiential stays in key destinations.
Expanding its reach further, LaRiSa Hotels and Resorts is actively evaluating international hotel management opportunities, particularly in direct-flight destinations within the region. As part of its first phase of international expansion, the company is set to launch six newly contracted hotels comprising 120 keys.
Commitment to Innovation, Sustainability, and Guest Experience
The co-founders share a deep commitment to sustainable innovation, operational efficiency, and delivering unique guest experiences. This merger not only aligns with the company’s ambitious growth strategy but also expands its geographical reach into new locations and niche markets, catering to travellers seeking unconventional experiences.
Looking ahead, LaRiSa Hotels and Resorts will offer an expanded range of specialized hospitality services, while maintaining all pre-merger offerings. The AM Hotel Kollection sub-brand will continue to operate and manage independent properties, now benefiting from LaRiSa’s extensive resources and long-term vision.
