The All Ladakh Hotel and Guest House Association (ALHGHA) has announced that tourists currently stranded in the region due to ongoing flight disruptions will be offered complimentary stays at the hotels and guest houses where they are already accommodated.
The decision was made following an emergency meeting of ALHGHA’s executive body earlier today. With flight operations suspended and many visitors unable to leave Ladakh, the association has urged all its member establishments to provide free lodging until outbound flights resume.
“This decision comes at a time when it is vital for the hospitality industry to extend care and support to guests during unforeseen challenges. The initiative reflects the core values of Ladakh’s tourism sector and aims to uphold its reputation as a responsible and welcoming destination,” read the statement.
ALHGHA has urged all affiliated hotels and guest houses to cooperate fully in ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of affected travellers during this period of uncertainty.
