Kazakhstan Tourism Board organised a roadshow in Mumbai on August 22, 2024. The Kazakh delegation, comprising seven representatives from Kazakhstan’s tourism industry, showcased its products and presented tour packages to Indian tour operators and heads of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI). This event was organised under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of India. Additionally, B2B meetings were held between Indian and Kazakh tour operators.
Kazakhstan, a vast and diverse country in Central Asia, is an emerging destination that offers Indian travelers an unparalleled mix of adventure, culture, and natural beauty. From bustling cities like Almaty and Astana to stunning national parks and serene landscapes, Kazakhstan promises an enriching travel experience that caters to all interests.
Tourism statistics reveal a remarkable surge in the number of Indian visitors to Kazakhstan, with the figure more than tripling by the end of 2023. The number of Indian tourists served in accommodation facilities soared from 19,000 in 2022 to an impressive 54,000 in 2023.
This significant increase is attributed to several key factors, including the availability of regular direct flights between India and Kazakhstan seven days a week, the introduction of a 14-day visa-free regime for Indian citizens in 2022, and the growing interest in Kazakhstan as a captivating tourist destination.
