The Karnataka International Travel Expo (KITE) 2025 commenced its Pre-FAM (Familiarisation) Tours from Kumara Krupa Guest House, Bengaluru, setting the stage for Karnataka’s premier travel and tourism event, scheduled to take place from February 26 to 28, 2025.
The KITE Committee has meticulously curated these FAM tours, designed to promote Karnataka’s diverse tourism offerings, including heritage, culture, adventure, wellness, and nature-based tourism. These tours will provide international and domestic buyers and media delegates with an immersive experience of the state’s unique attractions.
The Pre-FAM Tours were officially flagged off by Dr. K.V. Rajendra, IAS, Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, and Managing Director, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC). He was joined by officials from the Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS) and other dignitaries from the tourism sector.
Organised by the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, and the ‘Karnataka Tourism Society, with support from the Ministry of Tourism Government of Karnataka. KITE 2025 promises to be a platform that brings together stakeholders from across the tourism and hospitality industries. The event aims to foster new partnerships, promote business opportunities.
As part of its efforts to showcase Karnataka’s tourism potential, the Department of Tourism has curated special FAM trips covering some of the state’s most iconic destinations.
The pre-event FAM tours, which began on February 21, 2025, feature itineraries such as Best of Karnataka, Best of Coastal Karnataka, Karnataka Heritage Discovery, Karnataka Wild and Hill Station, and Royal Mysore and Heritage.
Following the main event, post-event FAM tours will begin on March 1, 2025, offering experiences such as the Jain Circuit, Royal Mysore and Heritage, Explore Hampi Heritage, Explore Coffee Land, Explore Wildlife and Heritage, and Explore Heritage and Hills.
