Kahanda Kanda, a luxury boutique hotel set on a working tea estate near Sri Lanka’s southern coast, has announced the opening of KK Spa, a new wellness sanctuary elevated above the palm canopy.
Known for its 17 individually designed rooms, design-led aesthetic and personalised service, the property has introduced the spa as part of its enhanced focus on immersive, wellness-driven experiences.
Positioned as a retreat from fast-paced lifestyles, KK Spa is built around the philosophy of slowing down, encouraging guests to pause, breathe and reconnect. The spa offers a comprehensive menu of treatments, including a signature massage unique to KK Spa, authentic Thai massage, Shiatsu healing delivered by a skilled blind therapist, nourishing scrubs and wraps, steam therapies and Dead Sea mud wraps. Guests can also opt for consultations with a local Hela Vedakama herbal medicine practitioner for holistic wellness insights.
Beyond treatments, the experience extends into nature, with open-air relaxation areas featuring hammocks surrounded by forest views and birdsong, allowing guests to reconnect with a slower rhythm.
All spa products are locally crafted in Sri Lanka using indigenous ingredients such as coconut, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg and tea. The wellness offering is further complemented by a curated low-calorie spa cuisine menu, aligning nourishment with wellbeing.
KK Spa also introduces curated wellness retreats ranging from four to seven days, combining therapies, yoga, healing rituals and mindful dining. These immersive programmes are designed to deliver deeper relaxation and rejuvenation, offering guests a holistic reset.
