Japan Airlines (JAL) introduces complimentary domestic flights for international travellers

Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced an exclusive new offer, providing complimentary domestic flights for international travellers who book an international flight with JAL. This special promotion aims to make traveling across Japan even more accessible, encouraging visitors to explore the country’s diverse destinations with ease.

Free Domestic Flights for International Travellers

Under this offer, travellers who book an international flight with JAL will receive complimentary domestic flights within Japan. This allows passengers to seamlessly extend their journey, traveling to another Japanese city or region without incurring additional charges. Whether starting in Tokyo, Osaka, or another international gateway, JAL’s offer enhances the overall travel experience by eliminating the need for separate domestic flight bookings.

To qualify, travellers must book both their international and domestic flights on the same reservation. Separate bookings for domestic flights are not eligible under this promotion.

Stopover Fees for Some Regions

A stopover fee will apply to travellers from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and China if their initial stay in Japan exceeds 24 hours before continuing on to another domestic destination. For travellers from other countries, there are no additional fees for domestic segments.

The complimentary domestic flight offer will be available to customers from several countries in phases. Currently rolled out to the US, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand.

The rollout schedule is as follows:

Vietnam, Philippines: Available from September 25

Indonesia, India, China, Taiwan: Available from September 27

JAL plans to expand this offer to more countries in the near future.
