On November 5, 2022, ITA Airways’ first flight connecting Rome Fiumicino to Tokyo Haneda departed 100% per cent full in terms of passengers and cargo. The new flight was operated with the Company’s flagship aircraft, the Airbus A350.

Through this new flight, Japanese passengers will be able to discover the beauties of the Country and the uniqueness of the ‘Made in Italy’ and will also use this flight as a connecting one to start exploring other Italian cities, courtesy of 20 domestic connections offered by ITA Airways.

ITA Airways’ aircraft provide the opportunity to bring Italian style, art and traditions into the world. When getting on board, customers experience the comfort, elegance and simplicity of the flagship carrier’s new interiors, designed by the genius of designer Walter De Silva, discover the new uniforms created through the stylistic advice of Brunello Cucinelli and travel through the fragrances and flavours of Italian excellence, including the Michelin-starred Chef Gian Piero Vivalda who has designed 4 signature dishes for ITA Airways, offered on board its Business class.

ITA Airways inaugurates the expansion of its network towards the Asian market, confirming its commitment to attracting connecting customers. This new intercontinental connection joins the six already operated by ITA Airways with direct flights to New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo.
