IndiGo announces direct Chennai–Réunion Island flights from April 29

IndiGo Announces Non-stop Connectivity Between Chennai and Réunion Island from 29 April 2026

IndiGo has announced the launch of thrice-weekly direct flights between Chennai and Réunion Island, effective 29 April 2026. The service will be operated using the airline’s Airbus A320 aircraft.

With the addition of Réunion Island, a French overseas territory in the Indian Ocean, IndiGo expands its international network to 46 destinations, including 13 served from Chennai, further strengthening the city’s position as a key South Indian gateway. Bookings are open via the airline’s website, mobile app and authorised travel partners.

Situated between Madagascar and Mauritius, Réunion Island is known for its volcanic terrain, UNESCO-listed natural sites such as Piton de la Fournaise, and a multicultural heritage influenced by African, European, Indian and Asian communities. The destination is attracting Indian outbound travellers, including honeymooners, adventure enthusiasts and MICE groups.
