The Embassy of India in Thailand has issued a travel advisory for Indian nationals visiting the country, urging travellers to ensure they carry all the required documents and meet immigration requirements before arrival to avoid inconvenience.
According to the advisory, Indian visitors must carry a valid passport with at least six months’ validity from the date of arrival, along with confirmed return flight tickets, hotel bookings, and a clear travel itinerary.
Travellers have also been advised to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 72 hours before arrival. In addition, visitors should ensure they possess the appropriate visa based on the purpose of their visit.
The Embassy further advised that tourists intending to avail themselves of the Visa Waiver or Visa on Arrival (VOA) facility should carry at least THB 20,000 per passenger in cash.
The advisory also recommends that all travel documents be kept readily accessible before approaching immigration counters upon arrival. Travellers arriving as part of a group have been advised that each member must individually carry all the required documents.
The Embassy cautioned travellers against using the Visa Waiver or Visa on Arrival facility if they have received a job offer in Thailand, advising them instead to obtain the appropriate visa before travelling.
For passengers transiting through Thailand, the advisory stated that they should carry all necessary travel documents, including valid visas required for their final destination.
The Embassy urged Indian nationals to comply with these requirements to ensure a smooth immigration process and hassle-free travel to Thailand.
