The Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group will restart passenger services across its Indian network from 29 November 2021, marking the resumption of operations from India for the first time since March 2020.

Singapore Airlines will launch daily Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) services from Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai on 29 November 2021, subject to regulatory approvals, providing eligible customers with quarantine-free entry into Singapore. Details of Singapore’s VTL arrangements are in Annexe E.

In addition, SIA will progressively operate non-VTL services from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Kochi from 29 November 2021. Customers on these flights must meet entry requirements into Singapore, and will face prevailing health control measures including seven days of quarantine in Singapore.

Details of the SIA flight schedules can be found in Annexes A, B,and C. All times stated in this press release are local.

Scoot, SIA’s low-cost subsidiary, will operate non-VTL services from Amritsar, Hyderabad, and Tiruchirappalli. Details of the Scoot flight schedules can be found in Annexe D.

To celebrate the occasion, Singapore Airlines will offer up to 50% off on selected fares to Singapore from all SIA points across India. Round trip fares start from INR 13,100 all inclusive, and customers can avail of this sale from 23-30 November 2021 for travel before 31 December 2021. The special Celebration Offer fares will be available through various distribution channels from today, 23 November 2021.

Customers who are not Singapore citizens or permanent residents and wish to travel on the VTL services, need to apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP) prior to their visa application. VTP applications must be made between seven and 60 calendar days before the intended date of entry into Singapore. Customers must also ensure that they are eligible to travel under the VTL arrangements before their flight.

A detailed list of eligibility requirements for customers travelling on VTL services can be found here. Do note that short-term visitors from India may only enter Singapore via the Vaccinated Travel Lane or the Familial Ties Lane.

Customers travelling to Singapore from India on non-VTL flights will need to adhere to the Category (II) Travel and Health Control Measures laid down by the Singapore Government, which can be found here.

“This is a momentous occasion for us as we will be resuming passenger flights to India after a 20-month long hiatus. With the resumption of flights from India, including daily VTL flights from Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai, eligible SIA customers can finally enjoy seamless quarantine-free travel and reunite with their friends and family in Singapore,” said Sy Yen Chen, General Manager India, Singapore Airlines.

“We are grateful to the governments of both Singapore and India, for launching the Air Travel Bubble and the Vaccinated Travel Lane. The Celebration Offer is a gesture of thanks to our customers in India who have waited so long for Singapore Airlines to resume flights, and we look forward to welcoming our passengers back on board soon,” he added.
