Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed definitive agreements to acquire a 51 per cent stake in Sparsh Infratech Private Limited, the owning company of Atmantan, a leading luxury wellness centre located in Mulshi near Pune. The acquisition gives IHCL ownership of the Atmantan brand along with its proprietary wellness expertise, enabling the company to expand its presence in the fast-growing integrated wellness segment in collaboration with Atmantan’s founding promoters.
Announcing the development, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “The growing wellness tourism market is witnessing a convergence of health and hospitality and an increasing number of travellers are seeking immersive wellness experiences that go beyond conventional treatments and therapies. He added that IHCL’s partnership with founders Sharmilee and Nikhil Kapur would combine Atmantan’s proprietary programmes with IHCL’s vision of expanding in the integrated wellness space across select domestic and international destinations.
